You know, I've studied a lot about the Battle of Stalingrad, and I know that the Germans had pushed the Soviets WITHIN the city all the way back to the Volga, but today I watched Enemy at the Gates, and I have to say WOW. I mean, the Russians were like ALL the way back to the docks. Literally. I read on Wikipedia that the Germans had pushed the Russians back to the shoreline, but I didn't think they pushed 'em ALL the way to the friggin' river.. I replayed that part like 3 or 4 times in disbelief. I know not all of the movie was real, but I know it must have been like that. Thank God the Russians were able to hold the docks a little longer, otherwise, the Germans probably would have crossed the Volga to the other side and the whole USSR would have fallen and the war may have been lost. God bless those 1,000,000 lives that were lost. Also, thank God for those who fought. - Luis Martinez
